SPOTLIGHT ON THE JAIPUR BOOTI

EVER WONDERED HOW A PRINT COMES TO LIFE?   You may have gathered by now that I am slightly drawn to print. As people have been looking at the collection, many people have asked me how do you do that? Meaning, how do you take an idea and turn it into a print and then into a garment. It takes time, patience and trial and error but it is a really fun process seeing your ideas come to life. So, here’s a snap shot of how. WHY INDIA? The inspiration behind this print is very much from my years of travel to India. My career as a fashion buyer over the last 20 years working for some amazing brands has...

SPOTLIGHT ON THE BOHO BUTTERFLY PRINT

Last year when I was researching for the collection I knew I had to have a really beautiful signature print. Naturally, with my bohemian leaning, I sensed it should have a connection to my brand story. I am passionate about the way we print our fabrics, we are proud to offer a collection which celebrates the art of hand-made through and through, here’s how. A BUG OR A BUTTERFLY? My favourite city is definitely Jaipur, nicknamed 'the pink city' due to its pale...

SOME STORIES FROM THE FOUNDER

SLOW AND RICH CHILDHOOD My sister and I would spend our weekends knee deep in white sand, splashing around in crystal water chasing jelly fish, and diving off junks (a type of boat) anchored off the islands in Hong Kong. My early childhood years were spent much like this; beautifully slow and rich with experience. Our explorer parents led us to new and exotic places, like Saudi Arabia where we also lived and spent afternoons swimming with little fish nibbling at our toes (this was before it became a beauty trend!). THE FASHION HUNTER GATHERER The decades I’ve spent as a fashion buyer was of deliberate design so that I could do more of what I had become accustomed to;...
